Why do people listen to what other people say, especially if it's biased? How can we filter out bias?

For example, a salesperson is a blatant example of bias. You can be assured nothing he says is objective and may not even be true half the time.

But other examples are advertisements of all kind. Or opinion pieces on TV or in the newspaper (which is basically all news these days).

Even your friend who tries to tell you that this Football team is better than that one.

All bias.

Nonfiction books are biased too. Even more so than fiction books.

I'm sick of it.

How can we cure the world of bias?|||You can't. People are always going to have their opinions on whether this or that is better. And when it comes to advertisements, the point is to sell the product, so obviously they have to be biased towards it.

You have to compare certain things against each other yourself and find out the truth
