It appears to me that obviously the author is against a cause and those that follow it. But, I'm struggling to prove it, and to link lyrics in the song to the bias.|||I think the song speaks to lack of communication, more poignant these days as although we all appear 'connected', we have so little human contact. And although television was relatively new back in 1964, that the 'neon light' being referred to could have been television and eventually, the computer, both which are being used these days to replace true human contact.|||Read the words, dear.
