What are some examples of bias language?

Like what are some words / pharses that would suggest being bias?|||"I'm voting for Clinton beause i'm a woman!"

well im not voting for her... im not old enough and i live in canada hahahaha|||Newspaper reports are often an excellent source of 'hidden' bias - the political leanings of the editor, for example, may cause the articles to be biased towards one point of view.

A good way to get a feel for how this occurs is to get several newspapers from the same day and read about the same story/issue from their relative perspectives.

I don't have any examples to hand, but if you still struggle to find relevant comparisons, look also at reports of a sporting event - one from the winning side's website and one from the losing side's website. What one may describe as a clear and deserved victory, the other might call a narrow defeat and bad fortune.|||The current media is rife with it.

Phrases like "some people say" or "sources say" without citing references. More often there are no references to site, just the contention of the journalist's agenda, using the idea that the point of view is accepted by a consensus

More recently, phrases like "terrorism" is used as a blanket to describe anyone who questions the status quo. Glenn Beck recently asserted that Ron Paul supporters are a threat to National Security.

Fox News' umbrella usage of the word "Treason" for any point of view that doesn't agree with the agenda. Treason implies sedition, and people accused of it, even in our recent past, have been executed for it in this country.

Recently, words to hide racist or classist attitudes by hiding behind clinical or scientific terms have been used. Words like "This person comes from a bad gene pool", or, words like "Ethnic cleansing" to neutralise the severity of what genocide is, making it seem less severe, or even necessary under the right circumstances if "our side" is the perpetrator.

Any unverifiable assertion or opinion stated as fact is an example of bias language. It's such a pervasive part of our culture now that it's really hard to even describe it in modern language becuase even the descriptions are biased.
