Why is there a bias in the fossil record towards the largest and most common organisms?

Why is there a bias in the fossil record towards the largest and most common organisms? What problems would occur when somebody attempts to interpret the fossil record at this time?|||the largest and most common organisms are found the most because the largest organisms preserve the best and the most common organisms leave the most fossils

most of the problems would arise in determining population density and biodeversity, as well as the carrying capacity of the environment
