What happens when a p-n junction is under forward and reverse bias?|||Forward, you get a high current flow, limited by the external circuit. Like a switch turned on.





Reverse, you get a very small current at voltages up the the reverse voltage rating, which could be 1000 volts. Like a switch turned off.
