What would the bias be for getting together to perform criminal acts?

I am trying to put together a research paper and i'm trying to find bias on the topic of street gangs please help|||This online essay should give you some ideas.}{

Gangs, because of their sinister, hurtful, evil and misappropriated values and behaviors have a threatening and intimidating affect on communities.The reasons behind the violence of gangs are many, some are obvious, others hard to figure out."to recruit new members and get rid of undesirables, to exercise revenge or seek redress for perceived wrongs to the gangs, to enhance perceptions of the gang's power and invincibility, to gain respect and to serve as counterpoint or check on what some might call moral restraints or a moral conscience" (Arthur, Richard, 1992, p.3)In gang culture, taking the time to figure out whether or not the actions you are about to take are morally right, is considered sinister. This is why gangs are so brutal, nobody stops to think whether actions are justified or not. This is why, overtime, gangs have become more brutal, and murder can occur, when the gangs show no remorse. More time is spent on contemplating violence than carrying out acts of violence. In research reported by the Bureau of Justice Assistance Only ten percent or less of the membership of gangs is composed of hard-core violent members.

The drug world, is a business that some, not all gangs work around. In most small communities the are small street gangs that run the drug trade. The street gangs are usually smaller, but most are connected to larger gangs, (i.e. the Bloods or the Crypts). Smaller street gangs are usually unorganized, compared to larger gangs. This usually involves run-ins with the police or territorial disputes with other street gangs. It is extremely difficult for street gangs to operate by themselves, without being acquainted with larger gangs. When operating by themselves they will run into problems with freelance individuals and other gangs. This usually results in violence.

Gangs have a large affect on the community, not only do they bring violence and organized crime but they bring fear into people. People might have the fear of walking down the street or going into a part of the neighbor hood that they know is populated by gangs.}{
